Faux Finds

One of the things I have enjoyed the most this season is the quality and availability of faux leather and fur pieces. Let’s face it, the real thing isn’t always in our budget. Some of my favorite things that I have kept for years are my pieces that are high quality, real leather. I will keep these pieces in my closet and wear them for years to come. However, since the faux trend, I can also add fun, affordable pieces to my wardrobe. I added some of my favorites below. Are you a fan of the faux trend? I would love to hear your thoughts! 🙂

This top is an example of one of my faux finds from Target. I love the puff sleeves and the option to wear it more than one way. In the photo below, I wore it backwards as a cardigan. I have also worn it over a black turtleneck. I love the detail of the big covered buttons. Adds just a little something extra! 🙂
How fun are these faux leather leggings?! They are also from Target. I have to admit I was a little skeptical at first in regards to, “Am I too old for this?”, as well as the comfort level! Wrong on both! 🙂 If I didn’t try them, it would go against everything I believe about what you choose to wear. In other words, if you love it, wear it with confidence! Comfort level…yes! So comfortable! A win win!

Some of my favorite faux finds below. All of these are from Target and Zara. They have SO many great options! I could have overloaded you with choices, but here are just a few of my favorites! Hope you like them!

72 Volkswagen

This car has LOTS of sweet memories attached to it. It was my husband’s dad’s car and was in terrible condition. After my father-in-law passed away from cancer, my dad decided he wanted to refurbish the car for my husband to honor my father-in-law’s memory. He took it apart literally piece by piece and brought it back to it’s original glory! What a treasure it is! So, how could we not include it in one of our photoshoots to show it off?! 🙂

Outfit details:

  • The graphic t-shirt is from Amazon Fashion. Yes, its a nod to my family connection to Elvis, as well as a love for graphic t-shirts! 🙂
  • The pants are from Zara, super comfortable, and love the stripes! These pants are super versatile. You could easily dress them up or down. Add a blazer and wedges for a work look, or dress down with sneakers and a tank. Lots of options!
  • The hat is from J. Crew factory.
  • My shoes are from Madewell. I got them last year, but they are still available on their website. They are some of the softest, most comfortable shoes I own!
  • Sunglasses are Ray-Ban, another gift from my sweet husband. 😉

Street Style Photoshoot

When I started on this new journey, I had to choose someone special to help take some great photos! The following photos were taken by @hannahlewterhill. We had such a fun day! Go check her out!

  • The overalls and wide leg denim pants are from Asos.
  • The camel colored top is from Zara.
  • The denim jacket is one of my favorite things! It is oversized as you can see and is super versatile. It pairs so well with most any look. I even throw it on with an oversized t-shirt, leggings and fun sneakers for a super casual, comfy look. It is from Madewell and was a bit pricey for me, but I don’t mind as much when it is a piece I will wear over and over again! 🙂
  • The black lace up boots are from TJ Maxx and the black booties are from DSW.
  • And the Gucci belt…a sweet gift from my husband, who listens when I mention things I REALLY want!
